A Century of uncompromised quality
Although the Challenger brand name dates back just two decades to when Caterpillar pioneered the use of rubber tracks on a farm tractor, the heritage and strength behind our name goes back more than a century to when Caterpillar made its first appearance on the agricultural scene.

However, since March 2002, when AGCO Corporation acquired the highly respected Challenger brand name, and the full line of Challenger track tractors from Caterpillar, the Challenger logo has been applied to a full line of top-quality farm machinery.

Today, the Challenger brand, which continues to be sold through participating CAT dealers, includes:
  • -   A rugged line of wheel and track tractors from 22.5 engine horsepower (16.8 kW) to 570 engine horsepower (425 kW)
  • -   A high-quality family of hay equipment, including windrowers, balers and mower-conditioners
  • -   Three of the most productive and reliable combines on the market.

Unmatched Dealer Support

Premium equipment is only half of the Challenger equation, through. AGCO also partnered with Caterpillar and the CAT dealer organization to develop the highest level of customer satisfaction in the world. Nobody commands more respect for their integrity, in-field service and parts support than the CAT dealer network.
And nobody is better prepared to keep your equipment running, no matter the hour, day or location of your parts and service needs.
It's little wonder that Challenger equipment has become the prominent choice of professional and commercial producers whose output represents 75 percent of the world's commodity production. Quality products backed by impeccable dealer support - that's what it's all about in today's farming environment - and that's what Challenger delivers … now and into the future.

Challenger Track Tractors - unsurpassed traction

Since 1987, when the first model introduced, Challenger track tractors have been the leading choice among producers who face challenging field conditions. These are also the tractors that launched the Challenger product revolution.
Covering the range from 269 gross engine horsepower (201 kW) to 570 gross engine horsepower (425 kW), these heavy-duty, high-horsepower machines are the result of years of design and engineering leadership dating back to 1904, when Benjamin Holt demonstrated the first tractors to move on self-laying tracks.
Today, Challenger track tractors continue the legacy with the finest the industry has to offer.
  • -   Rugged Caterpillar Tier III ACERT Technology A4 engines.
  • -   A CAT built 16Fx4R electronically-controlled power-shift.
  • -   Challenger tractors with exclusive CAT Mobil-track technology
  • -   Unique Opti-Ride suspension
  • -   More undercarriage options that anyone in the industry.
It all adds up to leading performance and peak efficiency that promises maximum payback on your specific operation.

Challenger Wheel Tractors-suit almost every application

It takes a rugged, reliable machine to live up to the reputation of the Challenger name… a fact didn't take lightly when we introduced a full line of wheel tractors. We even fitted them with styled hood and fenders and appealing graphics to enhance the family resemblance. You'll quickly discover, however, that live up to the Challenger reputation for performance and reliability.
Form the compact MT200B series to the powerful, four-wheel-drive MT900C Series, these tough machines are some of the most durable, solid and dependable wheel models available anywhere. Features like cast-iron block diesel engines, industry-leading hydraulic and advanced electronics are standard across the board, regardless of the horsepower rating.
